At Jerry's Electric, we use copper wire on all of our remanufactured transformers.
The insulation and copper wire are the two factors that determine how long a transformer will last.
We also use epoxy-coated diamondback paper between
each layer of winding, improving
the insulation even more. Then our transformers are baked at 230ºF to ensure a solid
bond between the winding and the insulation.
Our rewind facility includes a climate-controlled room, and we control the tension
on all windings to create a tighter, more efficient core. Combined, our technicians have
over 80 years of winding experience.
